12 kg x 12 months = 144 kg of the refrigerant CHF2Cl
However, Cl is only a portion of the refrigerant so you need to find what percentage of the weight is due to the 2 Cl atoms versus the one each of Carbon, Hydrogen, and Florine.
From the periodic chart, I found the weights to be (in order) 12.0107
1.00794 + 18.998404 + 70.9054 = 102.922444
and
70.09054 is 68.89% of the total.
So, multipy the 144 kg by 68.89% and you have your weight of Chlorine in kg.
