I need Word for my Mac but I can’t afford Open Office. Is there a free program I can download?

I can’t afford regular word either.
A quick trip to eBay and you’ll find a lot of people charging for OpenOffice, and it’s perfectly legal to do so. Anyone who pays for OpenOffice gets fleeced, I think. OpenOffice is free. So is Lotus Symphony, and it may be a better program, and its future looks more promising than OpenOffice’s to me:

Microsoft’s free version of Office is worth looking into. It’s web-based and offers free storage as well as document sharing. It doesn’t require X11 like OpenOffice and is perfectly compatible with Microsoft Office files because it’s Microsoft Office.
